Candlelight Yin Monday, Wednesday, Thursday @ 7:30pm
Our 60 minute Unheated Yin class takes place after our Heated Flow Class, Monday - Thursday evening at 7:30pm. When you first walk into class, the room is slightly warm but continues to cool down as the class progresses. For Unheated Yin, we keep the room dimly lit with candlelight to promote a sense of calm and allow you to really focus on your own practice without external distraction. Each class begins with a meditation and breath-work to help restore your vitality. Traditionally, Yin yoga works from the area of the navel to the knees, and the principles of Yin yoga can be applied to any of the body's tissues. However, the primary focus is the lower body because we tend to hold more tension in this area as we age. The poses are sequenced in a non-exhaustive manner (less "flow" and more "static stretching"), each pose (asana) is held for 10-18 breaths (or 2-4 minutes) which results in a deeper, more thorough stretch. This class is less about muscular release, and more about supporting your Yin tissues-- tendons, ligaments, etc.
If you've been sitting at a desk all day, experience body aches due to lifestyle, life weights and don't stretch, have tension, been under stress, want an intentional meditation, are tired but need a good stretch? This class is perfect for you! This class is great for every body!

Ashtanga: Led Primary Series Mon & Weds @ 5:30pm- 7:00pm
Friday @ 10:30am-12pm
The Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is a style of yoga codified and popularized by K. Pattabhi Jois during the 20th century which is often promoted as a modern-day form of classical Indian yoga. Ashtanga means eight limbs or branches, of which asana or physical yoga posture is merely one branch, breath or pranayama is another.
Usually an Ashtanga practice begins with five repetitions of Surya Namaskara A and five repetitions of Surya Namaskara B, followed by a standing sequence. Following this the practitioner begins one of six series, followed by what is called the closing sequence. There are six series, and this class covers the 1st Series are:
The Primary series: Yoga Chikitsa, Yoga for Health or Yoga Therapy. This is a powerful practice that tones, cleanses, detoxifies, and purifies the body. Make sure you're properly hydrated and have eaten a light meal at least 2 hours before the practice.
New to Yoga Wednesday, 8:00am
(with single point, Hammock Silks) Friday, Aerial: Root to Rise @ 11:00am
Our 60 minute Aerial Hammock Yoga class is accessible to all ages and all levels. We just ask that you get your doctors permission before hopping into a class. This class offers an authentic yoga practice, accompanied by a soft, sturdy hammock from which we explore, refine, and advance our practice. In this class, you will practice asanas on your mat and in the hammock, often times incorporating both the ground and the hammock at the same time. All of our teachers are professionally trained Aerialists and registered yoga teachers. They will teach you how to use the hammock to defy gravity (or use it to your advantage) to relax and restore, or realign and uplift. Each teacher has a different combination or sequence they will guide you through. Since we only have 6 hammocks, there is plenty of time to interact with our teachers one-on-one and get deeper into the practice both physically and mentally. **This is by far our most popular class and books up quickly! Be sure to book this class using our MINDBODY app or call us during business hours to schedule.
Our Aerial Hammocks are professionally installed and rigged. Each hammock can hold up to 5,000 pounds; 2,000 pounds with force. Our yoga is made for EVERY BODY!

Slow Flow (currently unavailable)
Our Slow Flow yoga class is designed to be for all levels of practitioners. Expect to move your body and perhaps build up a steady sweat (“slow” doesn’t necessarily mean easy!) while you synchronize your breath with each movement. This class will slow you down just the right amount to provide both a steadiness of mind and strength of body. It’s a sweet space where softness meets intensity; the perfect practice for someone who wants a step up from restorative or yin, without the full blown vigor of a heated or power flow class. Great for beginners who are just starting to learn the poses! Great for all levels of pratitioners as the postures can be modified or intensified.
Yoga Nidra Held as Specialty Class (check schedule)
Yoga Nidra has been described as the art of non-doing as opposed to doing more. Just as floating happens when one stops struggling, relaxation happens when one lets go of everything. Yoga Nidra is a state in which the body is completely relaxed, and the practitioner becomes systematically and increasingly aware of the inner world by following a set of verbal instructions. This state of consciousness is different from meditation, in which concentration on a single focus is required. In yoga Nidra the practitioner remains in a state of light withdrawal of the 5 senses (pratyahara) with four senses internalised, that is, withdrawn, and only hearing still connects to any instructions given. The goals of both yogic paths, yoga Nidra and meditation are the same, a state of meditative consciousness called samadhi. It is among the deepest possible states of relaxation while still maintaining full consciousness. In lucid dreaming, one is only, or mainly, cognizant of the dream environment, and has little or no awareness of one's actual environment. Yoga nidra results in conscious awareness of the deep sleep state, which is called prajna in the Mandukya Upanishad.
Clarity, peace, restoring, joy, focus, centering, balancing, release, mindfulness, and community-- just a few of the benefits from this class. Join Paul Massella every Tuesday at 10:45am for a 20 minute meditation called Warrior Meditation. This style of meditation is taught by Save A Warrior, a war detox program for veterans. Paul attended Save A Warrior and now desires to share this meditation with every body. This class is OPEN to ALL people; whether you've experienced trauma or not. Class is 60 minutes and it opens with a brief description of this , meditation-style, followed by light stretching/grounding yoga, and essential oils facilitated by Ali Hansen, then the 20 minute warrior meditation, led by Paul and class wraps up with a 15 minute Crystal Singing Bowl Soundbath (Sound Healing) played by Ali.
Finally, we close the practice by briefly sharing our names and our experiences during the meditation (you may choose to skip). We have already had people boldly and courageously sharing parts of their truths as they explore them intently. We have had people begin to experience healing from within themselves, and it's a beautiful gift that we get to share. Even if you don't share your truth aloud, you might hear it in the room and know you're not alone. We hope you'll join us to experience a group of people committed to the deep, inner-work and the liberation that comes with it! We support each other. Both of us are humbled by being able to offer this class to the community. A little bit about Paul:
"Hello, my name is Paul and I served in the United States Navy for five years during Operation Enduring Freedom/ Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2001-2006. I have been on an amazing healing journey since I have been actively seeking healing from the invisible wounds of war and addiction. I have almost 18 months of not drinking and continue my spiritual journey not having a drink one day at a time.
I am the first person in a few generations to join the military and be in the rooms of Alcoholics Anonymous. I am breaking the cycle of alcoholism and dysfunction for myself and the other veterans that still suffer in silence.
I would not have my sobriety or sanity without the technology found in the yogas. Attending this training and receiving the 200 hour training certificate will open up so many possibilities for me to share this amazing healing gift with others."
**If you cannot join us for class and would like to help Paul on his journey to Yoga Teacher Training, please consider donating straight to his Facebook Vetoga Fundraiser Page:
*This class is donations-based; when total donations per class, or per donation, are at/over $50, Yoga Pulse Studio humbly receives a small portion to continue to be able to provide and market for the class, studio operation costs, provide materials, etc. in order to better support Paul. Ali does not receive payment as she has dedicated her time to the community as her devoted, karmic duty. The rest of the money completely goes towards Paul's Fundraiser to complete a Yoga Teacher Training program by Vetoga. This is so we can continue to grow the program-- it has already started to grow!
